<!--%kramer-ref-pre%-->[...] Oversimplification: 'Tagging' is simply keeping your favorites/bookmarks at a site out on the internet instead of keeping them on your own pc. [Example: Here's my tag page... del.icio.us/indychristian.] The advantages are numerous, but here's a couple:You can get to your favorite bookmarks whether you're at home, the office, the library, or wherever you have internet access. As you bookmark your favorite sites, articles, photos, audios or videos, you add memorable keywords ('tags'). Thus you can later find your bookmarked links by searching on any of your associated keywords. Eg... churches, humor, video, politics, dogs. And since you add as many keywords as you want for any bookmark, later when you're trying to find that link, you're no longer stuck trying to remember which (one) category you kept that bookmark under. But wait... What if there's more value in all this than just for you PERSONALLY? Since your tags/favorites/bookmarks can now be kept out on the internet (publically, if you're like most taggers)... then they can also add value for OTHER PEOPLE who may enjoy learning from what you've tagged as valuable. Or you may even find great value in SOCIAL tagging/bookmarking. That is... team tag !Thus the concept at e-democracy.org...First, here's the story... [continued]Secondly, here's a reflection of some of the participation. 'mnpolitics' tagged items at del.icio.us.'mnpolitics' videos at YouTube.Thirdly... Wait and reflect on it after election day.Might 'tagging' be a new, Web2.0 sort of free & easy capability to accelerate our common mission? If you end up concluding 'it absolutely is'... you can get started easily by surfing to del.icio.us and getting a user-ID there. In the process it'll add a 'tag' button to your browser to make tagging easy for you. Then come back and drop us a line -- we add Bible-believing driven Christian taggers to the Delicious Christians network. [...]<!--%kramer-ref-post%-->
