I have lived in St. Paul for 27 years, the alley has always been an issue. I live in the middle of the block and work every day. In the warmer months, people are tagging garages, fences etc..and dumping their garbage(TV's, small appliances etc...) in the alley. During the winter snowmobiles go up and down the alley making it like a skating rink. Very few neighbors pitch in for the plowing expense, none of this is fair. There are some families that use the alley constantly and have several cars parked in the back, but never pitch in. I will never buy a home with an alley and I discourage any one to do so. Why does Minneapolis get their alleys plowed? I'm tired of paying for everyone else!!
